I am a Lecturer at the College of Artificial Intelligence, Ningbo University, Ningbo, Zhejiang, China. I received my Ph.D. degree from Hunan University in July 2024, and then joined Ningbo University as a faculty member. I obtained my M.S. degree in 2020 under the supervision of Prof. Jiangbo Qian, and completed my Ph.D. under the supervision of Prof. Bin Jiang and Assoc. Prof. Chao Yang. During my doctoral study, I was supported by the China Scholarship Council and visited Nagoya University, Japan, as a joint Ph.D. student, where I worked with the Contents Science Lab of Prof. Ichiro Ide and Prof. Takahiro Komamizu.
My research centers on information retrieval and brain-inspired intelligence. More specifically, I am interested in text-video cross-modal moment localization, cross-modal retrieval, hashing-based retrieval, and spiking neural networks. These topics are connected by a common goal: learning compact, efficient, and semantically meaningful representations for understanding, retrieving, and matching multimodal data. My recent work explores how retrieval models can better capture fine-grained semantic relationships across modalities, and how brain-inspired computing can provide efficient solutions for large-scale visual and multimodal retrieval.
Outside the lab, I am an enthusiastic food lover and have a dream of becoming a food blogger someday. I hope to travel across China and around the world to explore different cuisines, local cultures, and everyday stories behind food. I also enjoy running and am currently trying to keep it as a regular habit, with the hope of completing a marathon in the future.
